How do I...?

Find music recordings

All recorded music is searchable in our online Library Catalog. The records for CDs, LPs, or audiotaped music will often include a table of contents. This makes it easier to search for a specific artist's recording of a song.

  1. Begin at the catalog at http://bridges.missouri.edu/search~S9
  2. From the "Guided Searches" menu, select KEYWORD.
  3. Enter the song title or artist in the search box. To further limit a search, one could enter both words/phrases from the song title and the artist's last name.
  4. To limit your search to recorded music, use the Material format pull down menu to select AUDIO, MUSIC. For example, below is how a search for Louis Armstrong's recording of Hello Dolly might look.
