as smooth and efficient as possible. To the left is an index of pages made to help step you
through common procedures that you may encounter while using the library.

Computer Use Policies
Current students, faculty, and staff of Webster University and Eden Theological Seminary have priority in the
use of the computers throughout the Emerson Library. Unaffiliated individuals are welcome to use the computers
unless they are needed by someone from Webster/Eden.
Computers in the CyberCafe are restricted to current Webster and Eden students, faculty, and staff with activated I.D.
cards after normal library hours.
All users, whether from Webster/Eden or unaffiliated individuals, are expected to abide by the policies of Webster University regarding computer use on campus:
Location and Hours of Access
| Cafe Computers (Located in CyberCafe, 1st and 2nd floors) |
| Description: 19 Windows PCs, 2 Macs. |
| Access: Open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. After
normal library hours,
access is restricted to Webster and Eden students, faculty, and staff. You must have a validated ID card
that has been activated at the Webster University's Public Safety Office. |
| eCommons Computers (2nd floor) |
| Description: 26 Windows PCs Reference librarians available to assist with
research. |
| Access: Normal Library Hours only. |
| Listening/Viewing Computers (1st floor) |
| Description: 2 Windows PCs |
| Access: Normal Library Hours only. |
| Lower Level Computers |
| Description: 8 Windows PCs. Easy access to bound periodicals.

| Access: Normal Library Hours only. |
| Computers for Students with Special Needs |
| Description: Specialized software including a screen reader (JAWS), a screen magnifier
(ZoomText), a text reader that scans pages and reads them aloud (OpenBook), and dictation software
(Dragon Naturally Speaking). |

Academic Resource

the library for training or ask at the Circulation Desk. |
